Marsh Stewards
Volunteer Program

About the Marsh Stewards

The Marsh Stewards is the James River Association's Living Shorelines volunteer program. Marsh Stewards will have the opportunity to be involved with our Living Shoreline projects from start to finish, giving a unique insight into this shoreline restoration method.

In order to become a Marsh Steward, first complete the virtual training linked below. The virtual training consists of a 30 minute pre-recorded webinar on all things Living Shorelines, and a short quiz. After you complete the quiz, you will be added to the Marsh Stewards email list to be notified of future events.

Read our Marsh Stewards Manual to learn more about the program, and all of the opportunities for Marsh Stewards to get involved!
